Originally
joined Hampsthwaite at the age of 19 in 1983, his reputation
as a hard-man preceeds him.
Shaun's reputation as a GREAT goal
keeper is still with him, as he has once again put on his
gloves this season for the Hampsthwaite cause, much to the
gratitude of his team mates.
Capable of making the most
outstanding of saves and still fully capable of Cat-like
antics as he approaces his 40th birthday, was responsible for
one of the saves of the season last year...
Shame he was playing left-back at the
time, which unfortunately earned him a red card but confirmed
Jono Way's suspicions... there was only one man for the job
this year!
Capable of playing out-field,
especially at full back, Shaun possesses the meanest left foot
in the club and won goal of the season for his exorcet missile
against Pool 2002/03.
Shaun has won Championships and Cups
with Hampsthwaite since the early 80's and has seen more
players come through the club than anybody else in the present
day setup.
Offering invaluable experience and an
insatiable appetite for alcohol on end-of-season trips away,
Johnson is here to stay!
